Getting Started

 

Creating your Password

To get started, check your email inbox for an email from your Agency.
The subject should be: “Action Required: Get Started on Your Tenancy for...”.


Click “Set Up Your Account”.


Enter a password into the first Password field and, just to make sure you've typed in what you wanted, type the same password in the "Confirm password" box.











 

Making your Initial Payment

If your agent has specified an upfront payment be made (e.g. a holding deposit or a referencing fee, etc.) you will be asked to make a card payment by clicking "Enter card details".
A
small window will appear asking for your card details.
Type your billing address into the fields provided and then click "Payment Info" to move onto the card details.
Type your
Card Number, Expiry Date and CVC number in the respective fields and then click "Submit".

You will then see a pop up giving you a warning of any card fees that apply.
If you are happy to accept the fee,
click “Proceed”, otherwise click “Change Card”.

Please note that no payments will be taken until the sign-up form is submitted (i.e. once you've also submitted your password and, if applicable, your signature for your tenancy guide).

 
 

Viewing the Tenancy Guide

To view the Tenancy Guide, click “Download and View”. This will open the tenancy guide within a pop-up on the same page as the form.

To close the document click the “X” on the top right hand corner of the document.
If you cannot see this “X”, don't worry! You can close it by clicking on the background of the page.

*If you are doing this on a smartphone or tablet, the Tenancy Guide may open on a separate page or tab!
Please ensure you access the Portal through an internet browser such as Safari or Google Chrome and not from your email app! If you're having difficulty submitting your signature, check out our step-by-step guide for completing this step on a smartphone or tablet!


 

Viewing the Terms and Conditions

To view the Terms and Conditions, click “Terms & Conditions” below the “Download and View” button.
To close the Terms and Conditions, click on the "X" in the top right hand corner of the page. 
To agree to the Terms & Conditions, switch the toggle beside “I have read and agree to the Terms & Conditions" to “Yes”. 

 

Signing the Tenancy Guide

Enter your signature into the e-signing box at the bottom of the form. You can do this by either drawing your signature, or typing it.

To choose which method you prefer, click on either the "Draw it" or "Typed" tabs


When you're ready, click "Submit"!

2. Referencing 

To get started, check your inbox for an email from your Agency.
The subject should be labelled, “Action Required: Submit References for…”.

Click “Enter Your Reference Details” and log into your account.

 

Personal Details

The first section of the form is for your personal details. This includes your Name, Full Name (To be displayed on your Contract) and Date of Birth.

Be sure to enter your date of birth in dd/mm/yyyy format!

All fields marked with the star (*) are mandatory.









 

Address Lookup

Enter your Postcode into “Search by UK Postcode”, and select your address from the list of Properties that appears below.

Can't find your property? Don't worry, you can type your current address manually into the boxes provided.

Select the Country in which the address is based and select the status of the address under “Choose Status”.

Finally select the amount of time you have been at this address under “Time at this Address”

*Note you will need to input at least the last 3 years of Addresses*




 

Identification


To upload your ID, click “Browse” and select the file that is requested. Once done, click “Select ID Provided” and select the corresponding type of ID you have uploaded.

Nationality and Country


Click “Select Nationality” and “Select Country of Origin” to select the right option for you.

If you are a non-EU Citizen, you will need to upload your Visa. Click “Browse” and select the document to upload.















 

Credit Information


Click on the toggle(s) of the option(s) that apply to you then enter a brief summary of the details relating to your situation. 








 

National Insurance and Employment Status


Enter your National Insurance Number (if applicable) in the box provided.

To choose your Employment Status, click “Choose Status”.

If you are currently in employment, new boxes will emerge asking for details for your employment. Please fill in the required details. For more details on how to do this, check out this step-by-step guide!






 

Future Employment and Other Income


If your current employment position or situation is about to change in the near future, switch the toggle to Yes.

Click “Choose Status” and fill in the relevant details.



If you have other income, enter the total annual amount under “Total Annual Income” and specify the details within the section labelled “Income Breakdown”.









Bank Statements

To upload bank statements, click “Browse” and select the file from your device that you wish to upload.

Formats accepted are PDF, PNG, and JPG files. We cannot accept CSV or excel files. 

You can tell if your file has been successfully uploaded if there is a file name in the box next to the browse button. If the box is blank, there's no file there! 

To add other statements, click “Add Another Statement”.




Additional Documents

If there are any additional documents you would like to provide, click “Add additional attachment” and upload any documents that you feel are necessary to support your application.



Signing the Declaration of Information

To sign the Declaration, stating that all information provided is accurate to the best of your ability, either draw or type your signature into the signature box provided.

To switch between each method, click either “Draw it” or “Typed”.

Made a mistake? Don't worry, click “Clear" on the top right hand corner of the box to clear your signature.

Once you’re happy click "Submit" and you will see a confirmation message letting you know the process is complete!

3. Signing your Tenancy Agreement

Once references have been completed you will receive an email with the subject “Action Required: Sign Tenancy Agreement for…”
Click, “View and Sign Agreement” and login into your account.


Paying your Move in Monies

If you are required to pay move in monies, you will see a breakdown of the payment on this page.

If you wish to pay via bank transfer, switch the toggle next to "Pay via Bank Transfer?" to Yes, otherwise click "Enter Card Details".

If you wish to pay with the same card you used for the initial payment, simply continue to view and sign your contract.

To pay by card, click "Enter card details".

A small window will appear asking for your card details.
Type your billing address into the fields provided and then click "Payment Info" to move onto the card details.
Type your
Card Number, Expiry Date and CVC number in the respective fields and then click "Submit".


You will then see a pop up giving you a warning of any card fees that apply.

If you are happy to accept the fee, click “Proceed”, otherwise click “Change Card”.


Top tip! If you have selected to pay by card and submit the form, you can follow the link in the email you received to sign your tenancy agreement and switch to pay by card instead!  


 

Viewing the Tenancy Agreement

To view the Tenancy Agreement, click “Download and View” .
The contract will open as a pop-up within the same page if you are on a computer. If you are on a smartphone or tablet, your contract may open in a new tab or window.

To close the document, click the white “X” on the top right corner. If you cannot see this “X”, don't worry! You can close it by clicking on the background of the page.
 

*If your document has opened on a different tab or window, you will need to make sure you close that tab or window. But be careful not to close the page with the form! This will reset the Portal and will not let you sign properly!
If you are having trouble with this we recommend trying on a computer with Google Chrome.

 

Signing your Contract

Enter your signature into the e-signing box at the bottom of the form. You can do this by either drawing your signature, or typing it.

To choose which method you prefer, click on either the "Draw it" or "Typed" tabs


When you're ready, click "Submit"!







 

What happens next?

Once you have signed your Tenancy Agreement, your agent or Landlord will need to countersign the contract to complete it.
Once your agent or landlord has done this, you and your fellow tenants will receive an email containing your completed Tenancy Agreement.
If your agency hasn't already given you information on how to set up your standing order or direct debit for your rent payments, the email you receive with the contract will also contain this information!
