Completing your Current Employment Information

Employed

If you are currently employed, you will be asked to provide your employment details so our referencing team can verify this information. 

Please type your employment information into the relevant boxes. 

When typing your Salary, please ensure you do not include any commas as this would result in an invalid format error. 

To enter the start date of your employment, click in the "Enter start date" box and scroll through the calendar. You can do this either by using the arrows pointing left or right on the top corners of the calendar, or by clicking on the month/year and selecting the date you started your employment.

Self-Employed

If you are self-employed, you will first need to provide the start date of your self-employment.

If an accountant will be verifying your income, switch the toggle for "Will accountants be verifying income?" to Yes and then enter their details in the boxes that will appear below. 

If you have filed a Self-Assessment, please upload it, or your Tax Return by clicking "Browse" and selecting the file you wish to upload from your device.

Student

If you are currently a student, please enter your University or College and provide your student number in the boxes provided.

Retired

If you are retired, please provide the start date of your retirement by clicking on the "Enter start date of Self-Employment/Retirement" box.

You can scroll through the calendar by clicking on the left and right arrows on the top corners of the calendar, or by clicking on the month/year and selecting the month/year. 

Enter your annual income from your pension in the "Annual income" box, but please ensure there are no commas! If you have entered your annual income and are receiving an "invalid format" error message make sure there are no commas or other symbols (other than numbers!) in that field.

If you have a Private Pension, please switch the toggle to Yes and provide your pension details in the boxes that appear below.

Contract Worker

If you are a contract worker, fill in your employment details as detailed in the 'Employed' section above. 

The only difference for you as a contract worker is that we also ask for the end date of your employment, which can be selected in the same way as the start date.

Independent Means

If you select independent means, please provide the start date of your independent means by clicking in the field labelled "Enter start date of Self-Employment / Retirement" and selecting the date on the calendar. 

If you have accountants who will be verifying your income, please switch this toggle to Yes and enter your accountant's details in the boxes that will appear below. 

Type you annual income into the box provided, but please ensure there are no commas! If you have entered your annual income and are receiving an "invalid format" error message make sure there are no commas or other symbols (other than numbers!) in that field. 

If you have a recent tax return or self-assessment, please upload this into the field provided as this will speed up your reference.

Unemployed

If you are currently unemployed, we do not need any further employment information from you. However, if your current situation is going to change in the near future, please indicate this by switching the toggle to Yes under "Future Employment Details" and fill out your new employer's contact information.
