How do I complete the Occupation Section of my Reference Form?

Here, you will be asked to supply income information so we can get an understanding of your income/means of guaranteeing a tenancy. We will verify your income using the details you provide via your online form. If anything else is needed then we will reach out to you after your form has been submitted.

You will need:

  • A Computer/laptop, tablet or smartphone.
  • A strong and stable, non-organizational internet connection.
  • For the easiest submission possible, use Google Chrome

How to Provide your Occupation Details:

Click on the option that best applies to your income situation for more detailed step by step guides

 

- Using the drop down box "Occupation" select "Employed".

- Using the drop down box "Employment Status" select "Permanent".

- Enter your company name.

- Select the country your office is based in.

- If this is UK based use the postcode look up to find the full address:

a) If you cannot find the address click "or enter address manually" to enter this information yourself.

b) If this is an international address you will need to enter the details manually

- Enter your job title.

- Enter you gross annual salary.

- Enter your payroll number.

- Select your start date using the drop down boxes "Month" & "Year"

- Enter the name, email address and phone number of your employment referee. This must be someone senior to you or in the HR department.

- Click "Save Occupation"

Important to Note

- When entering your annual salary do not enter a £ sign or any other grammar, the field only allows number. So, for example, if your salary is £10,000 per annum input ‘10000’ in the annual salary box

- If you do not have a payroll number enter ‘0000’. This is a required field which means you will not be able to leave this field empty

It is required for you to enter the name, email address and phone number for your referee. If you do not have any of these details please enter the below options as an alternative:

- If your current employment is coming to an end and you are due to start a new job click "Add Occupation" and enter the details of your future income.

 

- Using the drop down box "Occupation" select "Employed".

- Using the drop down box "Employment Status" select "Temporary" or "Fixed-Term".

- Enter your company name.

- Select the country your office is based in.

- If this is UK based use the postcode look up to find the full address:

a) If you cannot find the address click "or enter address manually" to enter this information yourself.

b) If this is an international address you will need to enter the details manually

- Enter your job title.

- Enter you gross annual salary.

- Enter your payroll number.

- Select your start date using the drop down boxes "Month" & "Year" underneath "Start Date".

- Enter the end date of your contract using the drop down boxes "Month" & "Year" underneath "End Date".

- Enter the name, email address and phone number of your employment referee. This must be someone senior to you or in the HR department.

- Click "Save Occupation"

Important to Note

- When entering your annual salary do not enter a £ sign or any other grammar, the field only allows number. So, for example, if your salary is £10,000 per annum input ‘10000’ in the annual salary box

- Select your start date using the drop down boxes "Month" & "Year" underneath "Start Date".

- Click the "Accountant" box to select that they file your self-assessment tax return.

- Enter your gross annual salary.

- Using the "Type of Company" drop-down box select that one that best applies to your self-employment"

- Enter the company name, name, email address and phone number of your accountant.

- Click the "Upload" cloud to upload your most recent self-assessment tax return. If you do not have this then upload your last 4 months of bank statements

- When you click upload, select the relevant documents in your computer files and click "open"

- Once this has been successfully uploaded the "Upload" cloud will turn green. You can delete this file by click the ‘x’ in the top right hand corner of the upload box.

- If you need to upload further documents, do this using the next upload box which will automatically appear.

- Click "Save Occupation"

- Using the drop down box "Occupation" select "Self-Employed".

- Select your start date using the drop down boxes "Month" & "Year" underneath "Start Date".

- Click the "Self-Assessment" box to select that you file your self-assessment tax return.

- Enter your gross annual salary.

- Using the "Type of Company" drop-down box select that one that best applies to your self-employment."

- You will be asked ‘Have you submitted a self-assessment form or tax return?’

If you have not leave the toggle set to the left.

If you have, click the toggle to the left so it turns green.

- Click the "Upload" cloud to upload your most recent self-assessment tax return. If you do not have this then upload your last 4 months of bank statements.

- When you click upload, select the relevant documents in your computer files and click "open".

- Once this has been successfully uploaded the "Upload" cloud will turn green. You can delete this file by click the ‘x’ in the top right hand corner of the upload box.

- If you need to upload further documents, do this using the next upload box which will automatically appear.

- Click "Save Occupation".

Important to Note

- Once this has been successfully uploaded the "Upload" cloud will turn green. You can delete this file by click the ‘x’ in the top right hand corner of the upload box.

- If you need to upload further documents, do this using the next upload box which will automatically appear.

- Click "Save Occupation"

- Enter your student number.

- If applicable, enter the value of your scholarship or bursary income you receive in the box "Scholarship and bursary Income (optional)".

- Click the "Upload" cloud to upload your Student ID card.

- When you click upload, select the relevant documents files in your folder and click "open"

- Once this has been successfully uploaded the "Upload" cloud will turn green. You can delete this file by click the ‘x’ in the top right hand corner of the upload box.

- If you need to upload further documents, do this using the next upload box which will automatically appear.

- Click "Save Occupation"

- Select "Benefits" in the drop-down box "Source of Income".

- Enter your gross annual salary from all of your combined benefits.

- Click the "Upload" cloud to upload your most recent 3 months of bank statements.

- Select the "Month" & "Year" of the start date of the tenancy using the relevant drop down boxes.

- Enter your annual income from your rental income.

- If you have an accountant who submits your accounts then select the "accountant" box. If you process your own accounts then select the "self-assessment" box.

a) If you select the accountant option you will need to enter your accountant’s company, name, email and phone number.

b) If you submit your own account then you will be asked to upload documentation to show your annual income.

You will be asked "Have you submitted a self assessment form or tax return?". If the answer is yes, click the toggle to yes and you will be asked to upload your self-assessment tax return.

- Click the "Upload" cloud to upload your most recent self-assessment tax return.

- When you click upload, select the relevant documents in your computer files and click "open".

- Once this has been successfully uploaded the "Upload" cloud will turn green. You can delete this file by click the ‘x’ in the top right hand corner of the upload box.

If you do not have a self-assessment then keep the toggle set to the left and upload your last 4 months of bank statements.

- If you need to upload further documents, do this using the next upload box which will automatically appear.

- Click "Save Occupation".

- Click "Save Occupation.

Important to Note

- If you are due to start a new job or have any additional income click "Add Occupation" and submit your additional income details.

If you have additional sources of income, click "Add Occupation" to enter details of this for your application. Make sure you add every stream of income you have.

How to Declare any Adverse Credit:

It is important to answer these questions honestly, not doing so could cause a negative outcome for your credit check.

  • You will be asked to declare any adverse credit by answering three questions:
  1. If the answer is "YES" for any of the asked questions then click the relevant toggle and set it to
  2. If you the answer to to the question is "NO", set the relevant toggle set to
